Apple to Soon Replace Prescription Glasses?

Apple is refusing to take a seat in the back as we enter a world of AR's (Augmented Realities), VR's (Virtual Realities), and the coming Metaverse.

Apple Inc. is in the works of developing the Apple Glass, an augmented reality concept integrated right into the iOS ecosystem. Augmented realities, not to be confused with VR’s which are fully simulated, instead combines digital items with the natural environment of the user to enhance the user's everyday life with technology. According to a Bloomberg report, the glasses "are expected to synchronize with a wearer's iPhone to display things such as texts, emails, maps, and games over the user's field of vision."

Apple is not the first or only to build AR glasses as Google had its trial with the Google Glass AR device which discontinued in 2015 from lack of consumer interest & and complaints of being overpriced. Rumors also had it that the tech was just too ahead it’s time but now seems like the perfect time as Big Tech is showing rapid advances in developing a world of alternate realities. The Hololens, Microsoft's own AR glasses, first launched in 2016, is expected to be a rival of Apple's upcoming glasses.

According to rumors around a patent granted to Apple, the optical sub-assembly technology will replace the need for prescription glasses as the lenses will adjust to the prescriptive needs of the visually impaired.
