X is rolling out a new feature that will send direct message notifications to users when posts they've previously interacted with later receive a Community Note, the platform's crowdsourced fact-checking system. The update is designed to help users stay informed when content they liked, reposted, or otherwise engaged with is later flagged for additional context or clarification.
Rather than requiring users to revisit older posts, X will proactively deliver a notification through direct messages whenever a qualifying post receives a Community Note.
